The Kennel Club Good Citizen Certificate

In the UK we are not used to seeing Norwich being entered much in obedience etc. (while in North America they are). However, the Kennel Club Good Citizen Certificate is providing an opportunity to show that Norwich Terriers are capable of taking part in these events. Much to my amazement and a great deal of credit to the owners and handlers, the following five’s achievements deserve a mention:

Dan (Tebrun Malvolio) gained his KCGC Bronze at 10 months of age. Owner/trainer: Mrs Jane White.

Saham (Tebrun Tobias), litter brother to Taylor. KCGC – Bronze. Owner Mrs. Elizabeth Carbutt

Joanne Nutkins (previously Colling) put a lot of hard work into training Cassie (Tebrun Chocolate Muffin) and Taylor (Tebrun Timothy) with the following results:

Cassie KCGC Gold Certificate and also the “All About Dogs” Gold Diploma. Cassie is now involved in obedience competition.

Taylor KCGC Silver Certificate and also the “All About Dogs” Gold Diploma. Taylor is being trained in agility. He is a Pets as Therapy dog and has started working trials training.

Both Cassie and Taylor have also been taking part in demonstrations and displays at shows including All About Dogs for Obedience and local shows for Agility.

Seeking a new challenge, Joanne has now got Merlin (Tebrun Favour). Merlin has surprised us all by achieving the KCGC Bronze certificate at five and a half months old. Surely a first for a Norwich Terrier in the UK.

Meanwhile the new generation at Tebrun:
